Fishermen held for transporting refugees |
Feb 14 (NIP) Three fishermen, who were released from a Sri Lankan prison recently, were arrested on Monday on charges of illicitly transporting Sri Lankan refugees from here. Sekar, Veluchamy and Arumugam, fishermen from Rameswaram, were held by the Sri Lankan Navy for trespassing into their waters. They were detained in a prison in Sri Lanka and released last week.
