Tamil rebels attack military camp in northwest Sri Lanka after civilian deaths warning

Jan 4 (AP) Tamil rebels fired mortars and rocket-propelled grenades at a military camp in northwest Sri Lanka, wounding one soldier, the Defense Ministry said Thursday. Central Bank to limit money printing in 2007

Jan 4 (LBO) Sri Lanka's Central Bank has set itself tight targets to limit money printing, contain runaway inflation and stabilize the economy in 2007 and has called for fiscal restraint from the government to help meet its objectives. Sea Tiger base in Mullaitivu sustains major damage

Jan 4 (AT) The sea Tiger base in Alampil, Mullaitivu is reported to have sustained major damage, when it came under heavy attack by the Sri Lanka air force today morning, the Media Centre for National Security said. The air force launched air strikes at around 7.15 today morning targeting the Sea Tiger base in Alampil.
