Food and shelter for displaced at Silawatura

Sep 9 (GDI) The Government will provide food, shelter and sanitary facilities to the displaced families at Silawatura in the Mannar district with the help of the Armed Forces and Non Governmental Organisations, Minister of Re-Settlement and Disaster Relief Services, Risath Bathiyutheen said. Chinese carriages to improve rail services

Sep 9 (GDI) The first shipment of Rail compartments ordered by the Railway Department from China arrived at the Colombo Port on Friday. These passenger carriages will be put into operation shortly, a spokesman for the Railway Department said.
