Gas companies want to raise prices |
Oct 29 (DM) Gas companies have sought permission from the Consumer Authority to raise prices from November, sources said. The prices will be revised on the basis of the world market prices in August and September, said the Consumer Protection Authority. The Pricing Committee of the Consumer Authority is due to meet today. The Gas Companies claim that the world market price, which was U.S.$.589/- per tonne in August, rose to U.S.$.644/- by September.
