Armed gang robs priceless statue from museum |
Sept 12 (Island) An armed gang who stormed the museum in Yatala, Tissamaharamaya on Saturday night had removed a priceless head of a Buddha image after blind folding the watcher and tying his hands and legs. Earlier the Navy thwarted an attempt by the 44 Sri Lankans attempting to illegally migrate to Australia by boat.
