Adviser to NECM, Bandula Chandrasekera, alleged that NMRC has been granted another six-month contract, bypassing the tender procedure to supply coal to the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant (NCPP), despite its quotation being high.

5-month-old child saved from ritual sacrifice |

A group of eight people, including two women, was arrested by the police from a house in Peliyagoda at dawn on Sunday while they were digging a hole in the middle of a two-storey house.
