Money printing, 53% of excess liquidity

June 28 (CT) Central Bank (CB) on Friday lent Rs 11.03 billion to Govt by printing money, thereby stoking demand side inflationary pressure on the economy at Friday's trading. As a result, CB's book value Treasury (T) Bill holding increased by 43.57% to Rs 36.35 billion, a reflection of the total amount of printed money, in absolute terms, which CB has lent to govt. June 28 (Reuters) Central bank (CB) is expected to keep its key policy interest rates unchanged at record lows on Monday, a Reuters poll showed.
