GSP+, sovereignty and checks and balances

2310 candidates fail Sinhala at O’Level
Jan 27 (Island) Out of those who sat the last GCE O/L exam, 2310 candidates have failed Sinhala, while 2880 candidates failed English. 61,386 offered Sinhala as a subject and 58,776 were successful. Percentage of those who failed was 4.25%. Those who offered Tamil as a subject were 14,861 while 11,981 passed and the percentage of those failed was 19.38%.
