Sri Lanka condemns Kabul attack

Jan 22 (NR) The govt has condemned the recent attack by gunmen on a luxury hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan in which 18 persons were killed. Fourteen foreigners were confirmed dead, along with four Afghans in the attack. Ancient artefacts seized by Mihintale Police

Nationwide inflation slows to 7.3%

Jan 22 (EN) Nationwide inflation in Sri Lanka, as measured by the change in the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI), slowed to 7.3% in Dec 2017, the lowest in four months, from 8.4% in Nov 2017.
