Jun 5 (CT) HNB announced a breakthrough partnership with popular retail department store, Odel to lead the syndication of a Rs 5.4 billion loan to fuel the expansion of its flagship store at Alexandra Place, Colombo 7, a press release stated. Dairy industry wants price formula for milk powder

'Govt has understated bond scam loss by big margin'

Jun 5 (AD) A woman, who had been found guilty of a murder committed in 1995 and been avoiding arrest, was sentenced to death by the order of the Colombo High Court Judge A.A.R. Heiyanthuduwa, today. The convicted woman is a resident of Kirulapone named Muththusami Saraswathie. AG had filed charges against her for stabbing a person named Amarasinghe to death on 16th May 1995.
