Rise in Year on Year Inflation |
Mar 24 (DN) Department of Census and Statistics released Colombo Consumer Price Index data for the month of February which showed a year on year increase of 6.2% in the index. Year on Year inflation of Food Group has increased from 12.4% in Jan 2020 to 14.7% in Feb 2020 while that of Non-food Group has decreased from 2.9% in Jan 2020 to 2.8% in Feb 2020. The moving average inflation rate for the month of Feb 2020 was 4.6%. The corresponding rate for Jan 2020 was 4.5%.

Prima Ceylon gives 222 tonnes of wheat, poultry for Coronavirus quarantine |

Police seek public help to locate a group of returnees from Italy |
