Jul 1 (CT) A Specialist Committee has been appointed to look into the steep escalation of COVID-19 related deaths during the month of June, Director General Health Services (DGHS), Dr. Asela Gunawardana said. He said that over 1,500 COVID deaths had been recorded in June alone. According to statistics issued by the Health Ministry, deaths in April were at 110, while the number recorded in May was 806.
