WCT development: Japan undecided on stance

UK and core group wrap up tough resolution on Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka expects to collect 125mn dollars a month from exporter surrenders
Mar 15 (EN) SL expects to collect about US$ 125 million a month from foreign exchange surrenders once efforts to track and monitor exporter conversions are fined tuned, an official said. CDB raises EUR 5 m in subordinate debt from Netherland’s Triodos IM
Mar 15 (FT) Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) raised euro 5 million (around Rs. 1.15 billion) in Tier II qualifying capital, strengthening its capital ratios aimed at supporting its business growth. Over 621 COVID-19 patients detected during the weekend

ROEs for banks receding
Mar 15 (FT) Banking sector›s Return on Equity (ROE) has been diminishing over the past years, proving wrong the misperception that the industry is making hefty profits.
