Norochcholai Plant to be shut down in 3 stages

Dec 22 (CT) Units of the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant are scheduled to be shut down for maintenance in three stages in 2023, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said. He said, Units 1, 2, and 3 at the Coal Power Plant will be shut down for over 180 days in 2023. Thus, from 20 September to 31 December 2023, Unit 3 will be offline for 100 days to carry out Level A maintenance.
