Jan 31 (EN) Stock market recouped the losses and gained on Monday (31) for the first time in five sessions, ending the month with a 6.4% gain, but analysts expect economic concerns to drag the market until the govt comes with a sustainable solution for looming debt crisis. The main All Share Price Index (ASPI) closed 1.14% or 146.36 points higher on Monday to close at 13,009.50 points. Jan 31 (DM) An attempt to smuggle foreign currency worth Rs.25 million by five men bound for Dubai was thwarted by SL Customs at the BIA yesterday. Officials of the Customs Narcotic Control Unit station at the BIA Departure Terminal on suspicion searched a passenger bound for Dubai and found a stash of US dollars concealed in his baggage.
