VAT hike: CEB faces Rs. 70 m surge per coal shipment

Dec 24 (TM) With a 3% increase in VAT for coal starting from 1 January, CEB will be paying an additional sum of around Rs. 70 million per shipment as VAT to the Govt, according to statistics available with the Lanka Coal Company (LCC).
