CBSL mops up $ 1.7 b in forex; Rupee YTD appreciation at 24%

Number of inmates to receive special pardon in view of Poson Poya
Jun 2 (AD) President Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to grant special state pardon to a number of prison inmates, in view of the Poson Full Moon Poya on Saturday (3). June 2 (EN) Shares closed higher in trade on Friday, over positive macro-sentiments encouraging investors to redeem their interest towards buying, an analyst said.
