The other suspect, a Sri Lankan is on bail. The Russian had allegedly produced the credit card to a gem and jewellery shop for the purchase of items. The Manager of the shop who was suspicious of the credit card had called the bank. Later it was found that the credit card was a fake.

Thereafter the bank called the Colpetty police who arrested the suspects. Investigations revealed that the suspects were aided and abetted by another. Police are conducting investigations.
