They met representatives of the EPDP, EPRLF and PLOTE at the office of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission, however members of the Tamil National Alliance were not present at the meeting.. Security forces personnel and representatives of international Non-governmental organisations also attended the meeting.

The possibility of conducting the local government elections and the threats to other political parties coming from the LTTE were the subjects discussed.
