Aug 23 (InfoLanka) Education Minister Dr.Karunasena Kodituwakku said yesterday that around 3000 school teachers will be recruited on approval obtained from the Treasury despite the government's decision to stop all state sector appointments.
Commenting on the recent series of strikes carried out by certain student factions, Dr. Kodituwakku said that the disruptive students' factions of the universities were the stumbling blocks in the free education of this country. "There is no other crime greater than this," he said.
"We who made good use of the free education will not by any means deprive our students of this facility," the Minister pointed out.
