Jan 4 (IL) The Finance Ministry yesterday said the proposed salary increase to the public servants would take effect from this month.
The General Treasury has taken action to implement the salary increase as proposed by the Budget for the public servants.
Accordingly, the increase of salary would be added to the monthly salary of all public servants from January, 2004.
The circular relating to this increase would be issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Management and Rehabilitation in a few days time.
The General Treasury would not be required to issue a circular in this regard.
