National Bhikku Front condemns LTTE killings

Aug 21 (IL) National Bhikku Front (NBF) on Wednesday called the Defence Ministry to stop ignoring the violent acts committed by the LTTE terrorists and take immediate action to stop these ruthless killings.

In a letter to Deputy Defence Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake, General Secretary of NBF, Ven. Kalawelgala Chandaloka Thera condemned the present policy of the government of pacifying the LTTE through various perks including duty free vehicles.

Professor Ven. Attangane Ratanapala Thera advisor to NBF pointed out that the people did not elect the UPFA government over the UNF government to "pet and pamper" the LTTE and grant them ISGA.

"The UNF and the NGO peace traders are trying to create a scattered country, where Sinhala, Muslim and Tamil nationals live apart," Ven. Thera said.

The NBF is to hold a special meeting against ISGA on August 24 evening at BMICH as an initial protest against the government's attempt to grant ISGA
