32 marie biscuits 1/2 lb ground cadjunuts 8 ozs sugar 4 ozs butter 3 yokes of eggs 5 level tablespoons cocoa 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon rum 1/2 cup milk
Method
Take a loaf tin and butter it.
Cream butter, sugar, yokes, vanilla, rum and cadjunuts.
Soak biscuits in milk slightly.
Place a layer of biscuits at the bottom of the loaf tin and a layer of the mixture (about an inch) and follow with another layer of biscuits and so on (the last layer should be the mixture).
Keep in fridge for about an hour.
Turn out and decorate with meringue and cherries, etc.
Meringue:
With the 3 whites of eggs, make a stiff meringue for decorating. Beat egg whites, add 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon gelatine dissolved in 1 dessertspoon hot water. Pour over the pudding and decorate with cherries and leaves, etc.
