Glass company opens Rs. 3.7 b new facility |
Dec 11 (DN) The Ceylon Glass Company PLC (CGC) opened its new glass bottle manufacturing facility in Horana yesterday. The total investment of the new facility is Rs. 3.7 billion. The company will increase its production capacity to cater to the local and international market. Sixty houses gutted in major fire in Colombo |
Dec 11 (Xinhua) About 60 shanty houses were gutted in a major fire that broke out early Tuesday in a crowded residential area in this capital city of Sri Lanka. The fire broke out at north Colombo's Mahawatta area around 12:30 p.m. local time and it spread out fast, the police said. Massive allocation for Eastern Province development |
