Foreign media banned from East - CAFFE |
May 8 (LD) The government has declared the eastern province out of bounds for the foreign media wanting to cover the May 10th provincial council polls there, the Campaign for Free and Fair Elections alleges. In a letter to the Elections Commissioner, CAFFE said a journalist from the Associated Press had been turned back from the east, and that he had been told that permission was needed from the Defence Ministry to enter the province.
