UNP and its reformists bank on opponents’ failures to win |
Jan 8 (DM) It is interesting to know as to what the UNP who were clamouring for a leadership change in the party must be feeling when the first official announcement came from Minister Maithripala Sirisena on holding the Local Govt elections soon. Do they really want to get hold of the party leadership before the elections? A group of former UNP MPs had called on the party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe to step down from the leadership prior to the mini elections.
