An apolitical public service PART II

Sept 7 (NS) It was less than four decades ago that the legitimate critique of the inefficiencies and the dampening of enterprise associated with ‘big govt’ was countered, in industrialized societies led by the USA, by the workman’s fear that the withdrawal of the State from its regulatory functions would remove the only institution capable of standing up to the corporate putsch. What’s happened since has not only been the contrary but has led to the ‘Occupy’ movements in the USA. more..

Meanwhile, predictably, we do not find credit given to govt, and we certainly do not find expressions of regret that the govt has more..
