Jan 15 (Island) The upcoming elections to the Western and Southern Provincial councils kick off a cycle of elections leading to the big ones, the presidential and the parliamentary. Contrary to the Opposition’s speculation, it is not likely that Presidential elections will be held this year. He visited the Northern Province with the ambassador in Sri Lanka for USA and gave a judgment. CSE to replace Central Depository System |
Jan 15 (ST) The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) will replace its Central Depository System (CDS) after nearly two decades, officials said. “After 18 years we’ll be replacing the CDS and introducing the new system in June,” Rajeeva Bandaranaike, the new CSE CEO said. 20 TN fishermen to return home tomorrow |
