June 30 (Island) An ancient sewage system complete with a squatting pan was found during ongoing excavation work in close proximity to the Jethawanaramaya in Anuradhapura recently. "What we unearthed was similar to a squatting toilet system used by modern man", says Prof. T.G. Kulathunga, the director in charge of the Central Cultural Fund’s Anuradhapura project.
