21,750 kilos of coriander unfit for consumption detected |
Mar 12 (Island) Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) yesterday took into custody 21,750 kilos of coriander unfit for human consumption at a spice packing warehouse on Shivananda Road, Kotahena and if the stock had got into the market it would have been sold for over Rs. 3.5 million. Co-operative and Internal Trade Ministry Media Secretary, Nipun Ekanayake said that the raid had been conducted on a tip-off and the owner of the packing centre would be prosecuted in due course.

Salley to go to police over school |
