Govt writes off Rs 1.25 b in micro-finance debts

Pakistani nabbed with heroin worth Rs 30 million at BIA
Oct 14 (AD) A Pakistani national has been arrested at the BIA while in possession of a stock of heroin worth around Rs 30 million. 39-year-old suspect was arrested by officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) at the arrival area of the airport after being searched upon arriving in the country from Doha. They found approximately 2 kg and 425 g of heroin valued at Rs 30 million cleverly concealed at the bottom of the suspect’s luggage. He is to be produced before the Magistrate today (13).
