Nov 4 (RN) The cooking gas shortage should end in a few days and consumers should not panic, govt said today. A ship carrying 3,600 metric tons of gas docked at Colombo on Saturday, and another vessel with a similar payload is due to arrive tomorrow the Finance Ministry said. On Saturday another shipment is due, the release said. Nov 4 (DM) The prices of vehicles presently valued around Rs. 3.5 million will be doubled effective from Nov 1 because of the luxury tax imposed, SL Motor Vehicles importers’ Association said. Sri Lanka labour productivity makes marginal gains in 1H 2019
Nov 4 (EN) SL’s labour productivity made marginal gains in the first six months of 2019 compared to a year earlier, while there were bigger strikes, the central bank said. Productivity, in terms of gross value added per hour worked grew 1.3% from a year earlier to 500.91 rupees, a central bank report said.
