CEB responds to COPE revelation
Jun 28 (CT) In response to the controversy that erupted after the COPE revealed that the CEB has utilised nearly Rs 5 billion in public funds to pay Pay As You Earn Tax (PAYE) and Advanced Personal Income Tax (APIT)of its employees, from 2010 to 2020, CEB said approximately 20 State institutions have followed the same practice, including Central Bank of SL (CBSL). Kahatuduwa house fire: death toll climbs to 3
