Charges for issuance of driving licences revised

Oct 11 (AD) An extraordinary gazette notification has been published, revising the levies charged for the issuance of vehicle driving licences. The communiqué was issued by Minister of Transport & Highways Bandula Gunawardane on October 10. As per the document, the fee charged for an application for a learner’s permit and a new driving licence (for one class) under the normal service is now Rs. 2,500.
