Budget deficit to April 2023 widens amid external stability: analysis

Jul 4 (EN) SL’s budget deficit up to April 2023 expanded 57% from a year ago to 824 billion rupees, driven by interest costs, data showed as exchange rate appreciated amid complementary money and exchange policies.
