SL private credit expands in July, SOE down

Sep 9 (EN) Sri Lanka’s private credit expanded in 60 billion rupees in July 2024, on top of a 74 billion rise in June, official data show, while credit to state enterprises fell. Sep 9 (AD) SL Navy says it has seized narcotics worth over Rs. 15 billion during operations conducted along the island’s coasts to prevent drug smuggling via the sea route, so far in 2024.
