July 6 (PISL) In a bid to stabilize the prices of rice, the Government has decided to release 45,000 metric tons of paddy to the market without calling for tenders. This stock would be released from the large stock of paddy that was purchased from farmers. A kilo of Samba paddy would be sold at Rs 19.70 and the Naadu variety at Rs 18.70. A Cabinet paper was submitted on Wednesday for this sale of paddy.
