Tigers open up new satellite radio station from Vanni

Mar 5 (AT) Pulikalin Kural (Voice of Tigers, (VoT)) -- the official radio station of the LTTE -- was launched yesterday in Vanni, Sri Lanka using the Intelsat 12 satellite (Europe* Star1). The Tigers now have the best technology to broadcast to Europe and South Asian countries from Vanni. Top SL officials held for links with LTTE

Mar 5 (AFP) Seven people have been killed in Sri Lanka's restive northern and eastern regions in clashes between security forces and Tamil Tiger rebels, the defence ministry said Monday.
