French foreign minister to send envoy to Sri Lanka |
Nov 7 (CT) French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner is sending an envoy to Sri Lanka to inquire into ways of helping the return of war-displaced people to their homes and to strengthen the rule of law. In a statement, Minister Kouchner said he has asked human rights ambassador Francois Zimeray to visit the island for two days from November 05. The envoy is expected to gather from authorities, NGOs and the people information, evidence and proposals, he said.

Five more Croatian machines to speed up the northern demining |
