Students hit by mysterious illness |
Nov 17 (LT) At least 70 students of Ambagahadeniya Maha Vidyalaya were admitted to hospital yesterday after complaining of dizziness. Nine students who were critical were admitted to the Matara Hospital. SSP I.M. Karunaratne said the incident took place after the start of school sessions. “The actual reason for the illness was not known. It is reported that the students had brought food and water from home,” he said.
