Army shifting bases to state land
Oct 12 (Island) The Army will shift its 512 Brigade Headquarters to a State-owned block of land in the Jaffna town shortly. The headquarters is currently situated at Colambathurai in Jaffna. Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasooriya said that the decision to shift the Brigade headquarters to a one-acre block of land owned by the government had been taken after considering the plight of Jaffna’s citizens.
