Over 400 Academics settle oversea |
Oct 21 (SL) Over 400 academics have settled overseas despite signing bonds with the local authorities, the Higher Education Ministry said. Higher Education Ministry Secretary Dr. Sunil Navaratne said that legal action will be filed against those lecturers as well as guarantors who had signed the bond. He said that 471 lecturers had signed the bonds before going overseas saying they will return to Sri Lanka and some had even obtained air tickets at the expense of the UGC.
