Minister announces Rs.150 b increase in health budget |
Nov 22 (DN) The health budget for next year will be around Rs. 150 billion. It was Rs. 135 billion this year while Rs. 110 billion was allocated by the govt for the health sector in 2012, Minister Maithripala Sirisena said. Zoo running out of exotic animals |

Trial date set in Khuram case |
Nov 22 (CG) The trial date has been set in the case involving the Dec 2011 murder of British tourist Khuram Shaikh. Colombo High Court today read the indictments filed by the AG on the suspects, including the Tangalle Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman, over the murder.
