Young couple’s bodies found floating in anicut

June 20 (DN) Residents in Katukelle and Kandangoda in Kuruwita are grieving the death of a young couple who were in the prime of their youth whose bodies were found floating in the Sudagala Anicut by Kuruwita Police on information provided by neighbours on June 17. June 21 (Island) Acting on a tip-off, the Batticaloa police on Sunday (June 19) evening recovered four T-56 assault rifles, eight magazines and 210 bullets from a land at Old Panichcheni on the Kokuwil Road.
