Levy on imported sugar increased

June 7 (NR) Govt has increased the special commodity levy on a kilogram of imported sugar to 23 rupees from the current levy of 13 rupees, the Ministry of Finance said. June 7 (DM) The Govt had reduced the Special Commodity Levy on imported fish by Rs 25 per kilogram effective from today, the Finance ministry said The Ministry said due to the inclement of weather, the fish production had been affected in the country.
