Sri Lanka's consumer price inflation hits record high on drought

Mar 31 (Reuters) Sri Lanka's consumer price inflation hit a record high of 7.3% in March under a new index, data released showed, which analysts attributed to the impact of a lingering drought, higher taxes and a weaker rupee, besides the effect of a low base year. Customs detect Rs.14mn worth heroin

Mar 31 (DM) Customs officers detected 1.4 kilograms of heroin worth Rs.14 million left in a flight that arrived from Dubai this morning, Customs Media Spokesmen said.
