Arrest of heroin peddler leads cops to revolver
Apr 17 (Island) Acting on a tip-off, the Galle branch of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB), arrested a person close to Bandarawatte railway crossing in the Hikkaduwa police area on Sunday afternoon. 12 killed from accidents during New Year
Apr 17 (NR) The Police Headquarters says at least 12 people were killed and 69 injured in accidents on the day of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. Police Headquarters said 12 fatal accidents were reported during the 12-hour period from 6pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.
