21 Covid fatalities raise death toll to 14,944

Annual licence fee for banks hiked first time in 3 years

Dec 30 (FT) The Central Bank has announced a sharp increase in the annual licence fee for banks in 2022 after keeping the amount unchanged for several years. Dec 30 (EN) Container volumes at Colombo Port has surged 20.8% in November 2021 to 594,236 twenty foot equivalent units also taking the 11-month volumes past the pre-pandemic number.
