Kalpitiya island leased to Swiss company for 30 years
May 13 (TM) Uchchimunai Island, the second-largest of the 14 islands off the shore of Kalpitiya, Puttalam, North Western Province has been given on lease for 30 years to a Switzerland-based company, which plans to develop an environmentally friendly resort on the island. SLTDA Director General Dhammika Wijesinghe said that the project proposal for the said development was approved by SLTDA’s Board of Directors in 2020.

Sri Lanka exports soar in Feb 2022, imports up with tourism, credit

Indian HC in Sri Lanka denies stopping issuance of visas
