Aug 1 (LBO) The failed Pramuka Bank had been given the nod by the Central Bank to re-open for business from August 01, as the state owned Sri Lanka Savings Bank Ltd, the regulator said. New railway carriages to arrive next month |
Aug 1 (GDI) Following the cabinet approval for the procurement of passenger carriages for Sri Lanka Railway, the Transport Ministry has taken steps to import 100 new railway carriages from China. The rupee closed at 111.75/111.85 on July 23, which in turn equalled life lows hit at 111.78/111.82 the previous week.
